He saw the same thing every Friday and Saturday night; saw the hunger in the girls' eyes when they went to collect the money left at the table, quickly checking to see how much was left for them. It was so amusing how quickly their expression could change when cash was in their hand or a credit card slip; a face that was once blank and wiped clean of emotion could brighten as fast as a light being switched on.

I like how the author not only tells but shows with his words in the teaser. Very descriptive :)
